Bumpnook (“the app”) is an Android pregnancy tracker. It calculates your due date and pregnancy week, shows general week-by-week information, and lets you keep personal records such as kicks, contractions, weight, blood pressure, symptoms, notes, checkups, a hospital bag checklist and bump photos. This policy explains what the app does with that information. In short: everything stays on your phone, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
To work, the app keeps the information you choose to enter: dates used to calculate your due date (for example the first day of your last period, a conception or transfer date, or a scan date), your due date, the number of babies, an optional nickname, and any records you add (kick counts, contraction times and strength, weight, blood pressure, symptoms, notes, checkup dates, checklist items, and the date your baby was born). This is sensitive health information. It is saved in a file inside the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. It is not sent to TanzSoft or to any third party.
When you add a bump photo, you choose it with the Android photo picker, which gives the app access only to the photo you select. The app saves an exact copy of that file in its private storage so it stays available even if the original is moved. The copy in your gallery is not changed. Deleting a photo in the app deletes only the app's copy.
Android's automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are turned off for this app, so your records are not copied to any cloud service automatically. If you use “Back up to a file”, the app writes one file containing your records and photos to the location you pick; that file is under your control, so please store it somewhere safe. “Share a summary” sends a short text (your due date and pregnancy week) only to the app you choose.
If you allow notifications, the app shows reminders for your checkups, a note when a new pregnancy week starts, and an ongoing notification while a contraction or kick timer is running. These are created on your device; no notification service or server is involved. Pausing tracking turns all of them off.
The app requests nothing else: no location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no storage access and no internet.
After your baby is born you can choose to open Swaddlebook, our separate baby album app. If it is installed, Bumpnook passes only the birth date, due date, number of babies and nickname to it on your device; if it is not installed, a store page opens. Nothing is sent over the internet by Bumpnook.
The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Weekly information is general and written by us based on public health guidance. Always consult a doctor, midwife or other qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
The app is intended for adults. It is not directed at children.
You can delete everything at any time with More → “Delete all data”, which erases all records and photos stored by the app. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data from your device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions: tanzsoftkor@gmail.com
