KeepCam (“the app”) turns a spare Android phone into a home camera. One phone runs in camera mode and streams live video; another phone runs in viewer mode to watch, talk back and receive motion alerts. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
The app has no sign-up. Phones are paired with a one-time 6-character code. Each phone keeps a random device identifier and a pairing secret so that only your paired viewer phones can connect to your camera.
Live video and audio are sent directly between your two phones (peer-to-peer, WebRTC, encrypted with DTLS-SRTP). Our servers never receive, store or view your video. When a direct connection is impossible (for example on some mobile networks), the encrypted stream is relayed through our TURN relay server; the relay cannot decrypt it and stores nothing.
To connect the two phones the app exchanges short connection messages (device identifiers, pairing, connection descriptions, camera status such as battery level) through our signaling server. The server keeps only the pairing table (device identifiers, camera nickname, viewer push tokens). It does not keep connection logs beyond ordinary operational logs, which are deleted within 30 days.
When the camera phone detects motion it sends a small thumbnail image to your paired viewer phones through the signaling server, and a push notification (“Motion detected”, no image) is delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging. Thumbnails are stored only on the viewer phone; the server does not store them.
Snapshots and recorded clips are saved to your phone's Pictures/Movies folders by your choice. Motion event thumbnails, pairing data and settings stay on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them (except files you saved to Pictures/Movies).
The viewer screens show a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. No ads are shown on the camera phone. To deliver and measure those ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares your device's advertising ID and basic device information with Google and its advertising partners. It does not receive your video, audio, snapshots or pairing data. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. The app contains no third-party analytics SDK.
The app is a general-purpose home utility and is not directed at children under 13.

킵캠(“본 앱”)은 남는 안드로이드 폰을 홈 카메라로 만들어 줍니다. 한 폰은 카메라 모드로 실시간 영상을 보내고, 다른 폰은 뷰어 모드로 영상을 보고 대화하며 움직임 알림을 받습니다. 본 방침은 앱이 수집하는 것과 수집하지 않는 것을 설명합니다.
회원가입이 없습니다. 두 폰은 1회용 6자리 코드로 연결됩니다. 각 폰은 임의의 기기 식별값과 연결 비밀값을 보관해, 연결된 뷰어 폰만 카메라에 접속할 수 있습니다.
실시간 영상과 음성은 두 폰 사이에서 직접(P2P, WebRTC, DTLS-SRTP 암호화) 전송됩니다. 당사 서버는 영상을 받거나 저장하거나 보지 않습니다. 직접 연결이 불가능한 환경(일부 이동통신망 등)에서는 암호화된 스트림이 당사 TURN 중계 서버를 거치는데, 중계 서버는 내용을 해독할 수 없고 아무것도 저장하지 않습니다.
두 폰을 연결하기 위해 짧은 연결 메시지(기기 식별값, 연결 코드, 연결 정보, 배터리 등 카메라 상태)가 당사 시그널링 서버를 거칩니다. 서버는 연결 표(기기 식별값·카메라 별명·뷰어 푸시 토큰)만 보관하며, 통상적인 운영 로그 외에는 기록을 남기지 않고 운영 로그는 30일 내 삭제됩니다.
카메라 폰이 움직임을 감지하면 작은 썸네일 이미지를 시그널링 서버를 통해 연결된 뷰어 폰에 보내고, Firebase 클라우드 메시징으로 푸시 알림(“움직임 감지”, 이미지 없음)을 전달합니다. 썸네일은 뷰어 폰에만 저장되며 서버는 저장하지 않습니다.
스냅샷과 녹화 클립은 사용자가 선택할 때 휴대폰의 사진/동영상 폴더에 저장됩니다. 움직임 이벤트 썸네일, 연결 정보, 설정은 휴대폰에만 남습니다. 앱을 삭제하면 함께 지워집니다(사진/동영상 폴더에 저장한 파일 제외).
뷰어 화면에 Google AdMob 배너 광고 1개가 표시됩니다. 카메라 폰에는 광고가 없습니다. 광고 게재·측정을 위해 Google 모바일 광고 SDK가 기기의 광고 ID와 기본 기기 정보를 수집하여 Google 및 광고 파트너와 공유합니다. 영상·음성·스냅샷·연결 정보는 광고 SDK로 전달되지 않습니다. 광고 ID는 Android 설정 → 개인정보 보호 → 광고에서 재설정·삭제할 수 있습니다. Google 서비스를 사용하는 앱의 데이터 처리 방식을 참고하세요.
본 앱에는 제3자 분석 도구가 없습니다.
본 앱은 일반 가정용 유틸리티로 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다.
