Kibbleday (“the app”) is an Android app for dog owners. It records walks with a map, care reminders (vaccines, deworming, heartworm, flea and tick, medication, grooming), weights, meals and vet notes, and creates PDF documents such as a lost-dog poster and a health summary. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The app asks for location permission (“while using the app”) only so it can record a walk you start. Location is read only while a walk is running, which Android shows as an ongoing “Walk in progress” notification (a foreground service). It stops when you finish or pause the walk. The app does not request background location, does not track you when no walk is running, and never sends your location to anyone. Walk routes are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
To draw the map, the app downloads map tiles (pieces of the map image data) from worldbycity.com/maps, a server run by TanzSoft. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and which map area is being drawn to that server; it does not include your account (there is none), your dog's information or your recorded route. Standard web server logs (IP address, time, requested file) are kept for up to 30 days for security and then deleted. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
When you choose a photo for your dog or for a vet record, the app makes a resized copy in its private storage. It uses Android's photo picker, so the app can see only the photos you pick. Photos are never uploaded.
The app uses notifications for care reminders you set up and for the ongoing walk. You can turn them off in Android settings at any time.
You can save a backup file and restore it later, and share PDF files (lost-dog poster, health summary). These files are created on your device and go only where you send them (for example, your cloud drive, email or a family member). Android's own device backup may also include the app's data, depending on your phone settings; that backup is handled by Google under your Google account.
TanzSoft does not collect, sell or share personal information through this app. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
The app is a general audience utility and is not directed at children.
Delete a dog, walk or record in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all of its data from your device. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing to delete on our side.
Food estimates and suggested care intervals are general starting points based on published guidelines (NRC 2006, WSAVA). They are not a diagnosis or veterinary advice. Always follow your veterinarian and the product label.
