MyPingr (“the app”) lets you share your live location with a private circle of family or friends that you choose. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not collect. Our design principle is simple: we hold as little about you as possible.
MyPingr has no email, no phone number, no password, and no social login. To start, you only choose a nickname. We identify your app installation with a random device identifier so the same phone keeps its account after reinstalling. That’s it.
Your location is shared only with members of circles you belong to, and only while sharing is on. You can pause sharing at any time (ghost mode); when you do, no one can see you. A persistent notification is always shown while the app is sharing your location, so it is never hidden. Location is used to show your position to your circle and to trigger arrive/leave alerts for shared places you set up. Background location access lets this continue when the app is closed.
We do not sell, rent, or share your location or any data with advertisers or third parties. MyPingr has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Map tiles are rendered from OpenStreetMap data.
Data is stored on our own servers in the Republic of Korea and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/WSS. As a Korean location-based service provider, we log the fact that location was collected or used (as required by the Act on the Protection, Use, etc. of Location Information) — these confirmation records do not contain coordinates and are deleted after 6 months.
Deleting your account in Settings immediately and permanently removes your nickname, location, circles, and logs from our servers.
MyPingr is a general-purpose location-sharing utility and is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy; changes are posted here with a new “last updated” date.

MyPingr(“본 앱”)는 사용자가 선택한 가족·친구로 이루어진 비공개 서클과 실시간 위치를 공유하는 앱입니다. 설계 원칙은 하나입니다: 사용자에 대해 최대한 적게 보관한다.
MyPingr는 이메일·전화번호·비밀번호·소셜 로그인이 전혀 없습니다. 시작할 때 닉네임만 정하면 됩니다. 앱 설치는 임의의 기기 식별자로 구분하여 같은 기기에서 재설치 시 계정이 유지됩니다.
위치는 사용자가 속한 서클 멤버에게만, 공유가 켜져 있는 동안에만 공유됩니다. 언제든 공유를 일시중지(고스트) 할 수 있고, 그동안 아무도 볼 수 없습니다. 위치 공유 중에는 항상 알림이 표시되어 숨겨지지 않습니다. 백그라운드 위치 권한은 앱이 닫혀 있어도 공유가 이어지도록 합니다.
위치나 어떤 데이터도 광고주·제3자에게 판매·대여·공유하지 않습니다. 광고·제3자 분석/추적 SDK가 없습니다. 지도는 OpenStreetMap 데이터로 표시됩니다.
데이터는 대한민국 소재 자체 서버에 저장되며 HTTPS/WSS로 암호화 전송됩니다. 위치기반서비스 사업자로서 위치정보의 수집·이용 사실을 기록하며(위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률), 이 확인자료에는 좌표가 포함되지 않고 6개월 후 파기됩니다. 위치기반서비스사업 신고 제1373호.
설정에서 회원 탈퇴 시 닉네임·위치·서클·기록이 서버에서 즉시 영구 삭제됩니다.
