Sweepnook (“the app”) is an Android tool that helps you check a room for hidden cameras. It looks at the devices on the Wi‑Fi you are connected to, listens for nearby wireless names, shows a live camera view for spotting infrared lights and lens reflections, and offers checklists. This policy explains what the app reads and what it does with it.
Sweepnook has no account, no sign‑in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. The developer operates no server for this app. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, advertising identifier, photos, video, or the results of your checks.
Android requires the internet permission for any network traffic, including traffic that stays inside your Wi‑Fi. Sweepnook uses it only to talk to devices on the local network you are connected to, when you start the Wi‑Fi check:

Android only gives the list of nearby Wi‑Fi network names to apps that hold the location permission. Sweepnook asks for it only when you open the “Nearby wireless signals” check and uses it only to read that list. The app does not read your GPS position, does not use location in the background, and stores no location.
Used only to hear the names that nearby Bluetooth devices broadcast, so the app can point out names that match camera products. The app does not pair with, connect to, or exchange data with those devices. On Android 12 and later the permission is declared as not used for location.
Used only for the live view in the “Infrared lights” and “Lens reflections” checks. Frames are analysed in memory on your device to mark bright points and are then discarded. The app does not take photos, record video or audio, or save or transmit any image. The app has no microphone permission.
This information stays in the app’s private storage on your device. It is excluded from Android cloud backup and is never transmitted, sold or shared.
You can delete saved checks inside the app (History). Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in system Settings removes everything. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing to delete on our side.
Sweepnook is for protecting your own privacy. It has no feature for photographing, recording, tracking or monitoring other people. It cannot guarantee that a place has no camera; it shows what was checked and what could not be checked.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Sweepnook은 방에 숨겨진 카메라가 있는지 점검하도록 돕는 안드로이드 앱입니다.
계정·로그인·광고·분석 도구가 없으며, 이 앱을 위한 서버도 운영하지 않습니다. 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 위치, 연락처, 광고 식별자, 사진·영상, 점검 결과를 수집하지 않습니다.
안드로이드는 와이파이 안에서만 오가는 통신에도 인터넷 권한을 요구합니다. Sweepnook은 와이파이 점검을 시작했을 때 연결된 네트워크의 기기와 통신하는 데만 이 권한을 씁니다(응답하는 주소와 열린 포트 확인, mDNS·SSDP/UPnP·ONVIF·소형 P2P 카메라 찾기 같은 표준 탐색 요청, 영상 포트나 웹 화면이 있는 기기에 스스로 무엇인지 묻는 요청). 비밀번호를 시도하거나 기기에 로그인하지 않고, 영상 스트림을 열거나 보지 않으며, 네트워크 정보를 인터넷으로 보내지 않습니다.
안드로이드는 위치 권한이 있는 앱에만 근처 와이파이 이름 목록을 줍니다. ‘주변 무선 신호’ 점검을 열 때만 요청하고 그 목록을 읽는 데만 씁니다. GPS 위치를 읽지 않고, 백그라운드에서 쓰지 않으며, 위치를 저장하지 않습니다.
근처 블루투스 기기가 내보내는 이름을 듣는 데만 씁니다. 기기와 페어링하거나 연결하지 않습니다.
‘적외선 불빛’·‘렌즈 반사’ 점검의 실시간 화면에만 씁니다. 화면은 기기 안에서 밝은 점을 표시하는 데만 쓰고 바로 버립니다. 사진·영상·소리를 촬영하거나 저장·전송하지 않습니다. 마이크 권한은 없습니다.
직접 저장한 점검 기록(날짜, 장소 종류, 진행한 단계, 표시된 기기·무선 신호 이름)과 작은 설정값(적외선 시험 결과, 자기장 평소 값). 앱 전용 저장소에만 있으며 클라우드 백업에서 제외되고 외부로 전송·판매·공유되지 않습니다.
앱의 ‘기록’에서 삭제하거나, 앱을 삭제하거나 시스템 설정에서 저장공간을 지우면 모두 사라집니다. 저희는 사본을 가지고 있지 않습니다.
Sweepnook은 내 사생활을 지키기 위한 앱입니다. 다른 사람을 촬영·녹화·추적·감시하는 기능이 없습니다. 어떤 장소에 카메라가 없다고 보장하지 않습니다.
