Routerdesk for iPhone and iPad — Help
Why can't the app open my router page?
Join your router's Wi-Fi first. If it still doesn't open, use the address printed on the router's label: on the Router stop tap Change address. Some routers answer only on a secure address, so try the other address type on the error screen.
What is my router's password?
Check the label on the back or bottom of the router. Many routers ask you to create a password during setup, and some are managed only in the maker's app.
Why don't I see all my devices?
iOS doesn't let apps read the router's full device list. Routerdesk shows devices that answer or announce themselves. Sleeping or quiet devices may not appear. Your router's own client list is the complete one.
Why does the app ask for local network access?
It needs this to reach your router and devices when you ask. If you turned it off: Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network, Routerdesk.
Why does "This Wi-Fi" ask for location?
iOS requires Location permission before any app can read the Wi-Fi name. Routerdesk doesn't read or keep your location, and this feature is optional.
Why does Keep watch stop?
iOS pauses apps in the background, so the log runs only while Routerdesk stays open on screen.
